(I wonder if anyone told Paisley! He and Bertie visit there in the next
2 weeks don't they?)

It's a new Battle for the Boyne
(Photo of Paddy with Debbie at the Tara camp from May 2007)
We never learn. At least, some of us don't.
Having permitted the extraordinary over-development of the coastal area of the county and the vandalising of Tara by cheer-leading the M3 on the most destructive of all routes, Meath County Council has also given permission for the building of more than 700 on the Battle of the Boyne site.
Now, because the site includes the point where King Billy first crossed the Boyne, because the scheme would result in a huge amount of traffic around Bru na Boinne, because it threatens protected woodland and because it's plain daft, it has been appealed to an Bord Pleanala.
And, God help us, they're the ones who gave the thumbs up to the M3 debacle.

There will be a Demo at Oldcastle at the entrance to the Boyne Site on
Tues 6th May when Bertie and Paisley meet between 10-1pm. The road is
narrow there and they will have to pass by us so it is an ideal
location. If you can help with lifts for people willing to attend
please contact me offlist and I will put you in contact with the
Organiser. Thanks.

Hi all

There will be transport from Dublin tomorrow, up to the Battle of the Boyne site where Bertie Ahern and Ian Paisley will open the new visitor centre.
If anyone wants a lift, we will meet outside Busyfeet and Coco cafe, South William Street, at 8.30. The event is scheduled to be from 10 until 1 o'clock. It's Bertie's last day as Taoiseach, so a good showing of people would be great. Please bring banners if you have them. Any questions, please contact me on 0879728603
