* Cirque du Glace is coming to the Waterfront this weekend (Jan 9-11)... I have no idea what it'll be like... but there's more details here: http://www.waterfront.co.uk/whatson/performancedetails.aspx?id=3928

* My new poi workshops are starting again in the Crescent - with registration happening next week. It's still on Tuesday nights, from 8.30-10pm, at City Church in the Holylands. Registration is on Monday January 12 at the Crescent Office on Ormeau Road, with the first workshop on Tuesday 20th. Put the word about, cos I know there's a few people up for it this term :)

* Out to Lunch: The Out to Lunch festival is running from January 2 - January 25 in and around the Cathedral Quarter... More info here: http://www.cqaf.com/otl09/index.html

* Huge fire gathering: The mad mad fire people of Burn Crew Concept (Paris) are having their 5th birthday party on Saturday January 24, at 9pm, in the Palais de Tokyo, Paris. If you're in the area, or heading over there, it's one of the biggest fire gatherings I've ever seen, and definitely worth calling by :)

* Chinese New Year: It's Chinese New Year (of the Ox) on January 25. There's lots of stuff happening in St George's Market, from 1-5pm. More info here: http://www.belfastcity.gov.uk/events/eventsdetails.asp?id=1767&monthtopass=1&yeartopass=2008&day=25/01/2009 because I couldn't get the Chinese Welfare Association website to work.

* Pigeon and Plum Vaudeville Circus return in March with what looks to be a rather awesome night in the newly re-opened Ulster Hall. Starring the Tiger Lillies, no less. More info here: http://www.belfastcity.gov.uk/uhsearch/performancedetail.aspx?eventnameid=39391

* Quidam, the Cirque du Soleil production, comes to the Odyssey in March. More details here: http://www.odysseyarena.com/cirque-du-soliel-quidam.html
